French and Hong Kong cinema hold an important global reach. From Tsui Hark and Wong Kar-wai to François Truffaut and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, both regions have played an integral role in global cinematic developments.

Surrounding recent events such as the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the European Union Film Festival, and the French May Arts Festival’s cinema programme, join us on a journey into Hong Kong, French and global film industries, its trends, intersections, and future evolutions through our webinar - “French Cinema: Join the New Wave”.

To tackle this multi-faceted issue, the Consulate General of France, and Campus France, in partnership with three leading French film and audiovisual institutes (EICAR – The International Film and Television School, ESRA – International Film School, Spéos – International Photography School), are organizing a panel discussion with prominent industry and academic representatives to discuss the film industry, latest technologies available for budding filmmakers and producers, and the societal impact of film.

A special focus on related new job opportunities, key creative and technical skills for tomorrow’s audiovisual leaders, and relevant training opportunities will be presented throughout the discussion and Q&A sessions.
