Poster Journalism

This event was dedicated to highlight the richness and diversity of journalism and media studies in France, and to show their relevance in today’s global media landscape. Participants, including students discovered how French journalism education combines strong ethical foundations, international perspectives, and openness — with academic and professional opportunities available even to those who do not speak French.

A highlight of the day was the presence of Mr. Eric Wishart — Honorary Lecturer at HKU, Standards and Ethics Editor at AFP, and a strong advocate for press freedom and journalistic excellence. His commitment to connecting France and Hong Kong through journalism has left a lasting impact on both communities. Later in the evening, at the French Residence, the Consul General of France awarded Mr. Wishart a French distinction in recognition of his remarkable career and his outstanding contribution to journalism and the promotion of shared professional values between France and Hong Kong.
