A new website for international students interested in pursuing doctoral study in Europe

A new website has just been launched within the scope of the Erasmus Mundus Action 3 project, PromoDoc. PromoDoc aims to enhance the attractiveness of doctoral-level study in Europe and to improve awareness about opportunities for doctoral study. The new website contains information for students from non-European countries on doctoral study in Europe, with a focus on each of the individual EU Member States. Erasmus Mundus joint doctorates

Ten new Erasmus Mundus joint doctoral programmes have just been selected by the European Commission in Brussels. These new programmes in fields such as criminology, computing, pharmaceutical innovation and sustainable energy will offer fellowships starting in the academic year 2012-2013. 7th Framework programme

The European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, has announced the release of nearly EUR 7 billion to stimulate European innovation and research within the scope of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Funding will notably include support for researchers' mobility and careers and for European industrial doctorates with the aim of stimulating entrepreneurship and cooperation between universities, research institutions and companies.
